Middleboro / Lakeville Rotary Club in our 55th Year of Community ServiceThis year marks the 55th anniversary of our Middleboro / Lakeville Rotary Club, and we’re proud to continue our tradition of service with a meaningful update to a long-standing project. Twenty-four years ago, we donated a picnic table to the Conservation Committee for use at Pratt Farm, one of our local conservation areas, to offer a welcoming spot for visitors. In conversations with the Middleborough Conservation Commission last fall we discussed the disrepair the picnic table was in and agreed it was time to replace it.
On Wednesday, July 2nd, in partnership with the local Conservation Commission, we dedicated that new replacement picnic table … this time designed to be handicap accessible so that more members of our community can enjoy the space.
The ceremony was a celebration not only of the table, but of the Rotary’s ongoing commitment to community service.

Pratt Farm also holds another example of Rotary service: just steps away stands the Little Book Box we installed three years ago, inviting readers of all ages to take a book or leave a book.
As we reflect on 55 years of service, we remain committed to building a more inclusive, thoughtful, and engaged community … one project at a time.
